Before Your Spray Tan

The most important step you will take in preparing for your Spray Tan Appointment is:

Exfoliation

The skin needs to be exfoliated to ensure your spray tan processes beautifully, and evenly.

You’ll want to do these things before your appointment:

  • Shave, Wax and Exfoliate the skin 24 hours before your appointment.

  • You can moisturize the skin with a water based moisturizer before your appointment just not the day of.

  • Do not use any lotions, gels, wax, or any products that contain oil of any kind.

You’ll want to do these things on the day of your appointment:

  • Do not wear any type of makeup, moisturizers/creams/oils, sunscreen, deodorant, perfumes or body sprays on the day of your appointment.

  • You can wear your own undergarments, bathing suit, or what ever you choose for your spray tan. Disposables will also be provided on site.

  • Lastly, make sure you arrive wearing dark loose fit clothing.

After Your Spray Tan

How to care for your skin after your Spray Tan:

  • Avoid Sweating, strenuous workouts, especially during the development period after your tan (usually 5-8 hours)

  • If there is inclement weather, wear long sleeves or bring a jacket.

  • If you want to sleep in your spray tan, wear long sleeves and long pants.

  • Rinse your body entirely after the development period, until you see no more bronzer come off, including your face.

  • Avoid taking long showers, jacuzzis, saunas, excessive sweating.

  • Use oil & mineral free soaps. It is best to skip the soap during the first rinse.

  • When cleansing or applying moisturizer to your skin, use water based solutions, lotions and creams.

  • Avoid lotions, soaps and body wash that contains petroleum, alcohol or mineral oil. No Aerosol cans

  • Shave gently, and occasionally, Avoid waxing

  • Do not exfoliate until your tan starts to fade.
