Before Your Spray Tan
The most important step you will take in preparing for your Spray Tan Appointment is:
Exfoliation
The skin needs to be exfoliated to ensure your spray tan processes beautifully, and evenly.
You’ll want to do these things before your appointment:
Shave, Wax and Exfoliate the skin 24 hours before your appointment.
You can moisturize the skin with a water based moisturizer before your appointment just not the day of.
Do not use any lotions, gels, wax, or any products that contain oil of any kind.
You’ll want to do these things on the day of your appointment:
Do not wear any type of makeup, moisturizers/creams/oils, sunscreen, deodorant, perfumes or body sprays on the day of your appointment.
You can wear your own undergarments, bathing suit, or what ever you choose for your spray tan. Disposables will also be provided on site.
Lastly, make sure you arrive wearing dark loose fit clothing.
After Your Spray Tan
How to care for your skin after your Spray Tan:
Avoid Sweating, strenuous workouts, especially during the development period after your tan (usually 5-8 hours)
If there is inclement weather, wear long sleeves or bring a jacket.
If you want to sleep in your spray tan, wear long sleeves and long pants.
Rinse your body entirely after the development period, until you see no more bronzer come off, including your face.
Avoid taking long showers, jacuzzis, saunas, excessive sweating.
Use oil & mineral free soaps. It is best to skip the soap during the first rinse.
When cleansing or applying moisturizer to your skin, use water based solutions, lotions and creams.
Avoid lotions, soaps and body wash that contains petroleum, alcohol or mineral oil. No Aerosol cans
Shave gently, and occasionally, Avoid waxing
Do not exfoliate until your tan starts to fade.
